The first rank earned by all Cub Scouts, the Bobcat rank symbolizes the commitment to achievement that is the foundation of all Scouting life. In earning the Bobcat rank, boys recite and explain the Cub Scout Promise and the Law of the Pack, and give the Scout handshake, sign, and salute. Preparing for and completing these tests is an indication of a Scout's willingness to contribute to his pack and his desire to progress toward higher ranks in Scouting as he matures.
This diamond-shaped coin pays tribute to those who have earned their Bobcat badge. The obverse features the Bobcat Rank Insignia. The reverse includes a space for engraving. Struck in a brass alloy and finished in antique bronze, the obverse side of this coin is accented with blue and yellow enamel. Each coin comes packaged with a header card that describes the Bobcat rank.
