The Boy Scout Store team knows and understands how a collection should be promoted and presented to the public. We respect the years of effort that have gone into building your collection, and we will take the utmost care in handling your items. As one of the fastest-growing and most successful Scout Specific in the country, we take pride in providing you with honest, reliable and professional service.
Step 1: Contact/Valuation
The first step in the process is to contact a representative from Dan Morphy Auctions. The representative will conduct a valuation of your antiques or collectibles and provide you with a pre-sale estimate.
Step 2: Consignment
After your valuation, you will be contacted by a Boy Scout Store representative. Then you will be asked to sign a contract and arrange shipment of your collectibles. Please do not ship your antiques or collectibles to Dan Morphy Auctions without prior approval from a Morphy’s representative.
Step 3: Inventory & Storage
Once we have your items in our possession, they will be fully insured for the amount of the purchase price until the day they transfer to the buyer. After receipt of your consigned goods, we will have them tagged and inventoried, and our Consignments team will send you a list for your records. This process ensures the proper documentation and tracking of your collectibles.
Step 4: Catalog & Photograph & Listing
Our team catalogs, and photographs your items for listing on our website. We choose the best descriptions and do the necessary research to determine your collectibles proper quality and description.
Step 5: Marketing
We will customize a marketing, advertising and distribution plan to assure maximum consumer participation and worldwide exposure for your consignments. We have an Internet marketing presence on popular social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter. We advertise at Scouting related events and also have significant investment in search engine marketing with Google, Yahoo, and Bing.
Step 6: Consignor Payout
Boy Scout Store prides itself in prompt payment to its consignors. We pay on a monthly basis. With your payout we include a list of the items you have sold. Consigor payouts are made with-in 15 business days after each month end.
